Mostly, I will use this for Book Reviews and Other Stuff Like That.
This journal has been through several phases by now - the daily whining of high school, the quizzes, the pictures, the fiction, the politics - but I've decided that most of my ruminations and revelations about life belong more to private conversations or, more often, private notebooks than to public forums like this one. As a result, this is going to become something a lot less self-centered and hopefully a lot more interesting, and maybe even more personal because I'm certain that what I read and what I think about it is a lot more telling than what I did to day, where I went, and to whom I spoke.
My name is Ashleigh, and I'm an English major at the University of Oregon set to graduate this spring. I undeniably hate both my major and my education at large, but despite that, studying them does not make me hate the novels I read; I honestly enjoy tearing into books and writing pages about their minute details in language or plot.
That is what I'll be posting here, frequently or infrequently: my over all thoughts on books, scattered paragraphs, quotes and half-formed ideas. I may also delve occasionally into the realm of music review, when the fancy takes me.
